BackupMoxie, a managed web site backup and restoration service from Crowd Favorite, has officially launched.

This is the opposite of the many $5/month do-it-yourself backup services that are out there. This is a managed service for customers who prefer to take a more hands-off approach.

• We do the configuration and set-up.
• We monitor the backups for failures (including unexpected changes in size).
• We’re on-call 24/7 for recovery when needed.

We are offering two service tiers, with full snapshots every 6 hours and every 24 hours. With both tiers we store 60 days of snapshots.

Like most products and services we build, this is scratching a particular itch. We needed a backup service that we could configure to support multiple databases, file paths, etc. and would keep historical snapshot backups so that we could go back in time to find known, good data to restore.

We have been providing service to Crowd Favorite clients for the past few months, and are now opening the doors to the general public. If you need a reliable, managed backup service that is staffed by experienced web developers, BackupMoxie may be what you’re looking for.
