Yes. Yes, you should. 😉
Google Quick Search Box has been great – good replacement for Quicksilver as a search/launch bar. Less crashing, fewer resource utilization, waiting on plugins and extensibility.
I’ve been using Google Quick Search Box since it came out. I pretty much only use it as an app launcher though and as a quick launch to a google search. It works well.
I’ve played around some with the twitter plugin for it and it works well, but I always have Tweetie open, so don’t have much use for that. I think as more plugins become available it will be better.
I’m also a registered user of LaunchBar. I wouldn’t say it’s as full featured, but depending on what you’re using this type of app for, Google’s QSB could be a good, free, replacement.
Re: All devices belong to Newton
If you’ve got the Newton I’ve got the iPhone 2G. And 3G. And a BlackBerry Pearl, Storm, 8900, 8330 and 8220. And shortly a 9630.
Oh, and shame. Lots of shame and embarrassment.
I’ve still got the Newton 2000 – should charge it up and see how she runs.
Google Quick Search Box isn’t that great. Very explicit, hard to navigate. Perhaps I’m just conditioned to the flexibility of LaunchBar but I couldn’t even last a half-day with Google’s bar.
I agree with Chris … I want to know what you’re doing with Tasks. 🙂

After a couple days of testing I found the Google Quick Search Box to be more functional but much slower. I switched back to QS until they can improve the speed.
