The Damon story is particularly interesting- it might be because I’m a Yankee fan, but it just seems like the writer doesn’t want to give Damon and the Yankees due credit.
Now, it’s still possible that Damon on third improved A-Rod’s odds of getting a hit in that at bat; however, that would already be included in the Win Expectancy figures. Huh?
It just goes to show that people can use stats to back up just about any point they want to make.
