  1. RISP Hitting →

You can look at 39 plate appearances and decide that Ichiro can’t hit with men in scoring position, or you can look at 1,500 plate appearances and realize that he can. It’s really up to you, but what kind of conclusion you draw says a lot about your understanding of how the game actually works.

The Mariners are a confusing mix of new and old school.

  2. WP App Store

    Crowd Favorite Themes

Congratulations to Brad on today’s launch of WP App Store. I’m very pleased to see this come to life. It’s an idea we toyed around with several years ago, but decided not to pull the trigger on – I hope it’s a huge success. We’ve put our FavePersonal and FaveBusiness themes along with our RAMP…

  3. .@rands Early on the impulse is to build as much as possible. Over time you understand the limits of what can be maintained.

Most people have a goal of expanding their user base by launching apps, but I agree with Devin that this doesn’t necessarily seem to be the case here. I’ve never listened to a show live – I time-shift everything. Clearly I’m not the audience for this app.

I think one big thing here is the positioning of the app. Maybe if this was titled “5by5 Pro” (clearly targeted at power users) it might make more sense.

  6. @WookieeBoy When I get text messages for things that aren’t urgent, I find it annoying. I realize this is a “get off of my lawn” situation.

  7. Awwwww

Last weekend we had my daughter’s three year photo shoot (see photos). Today we got the proof sheet and I showed them to her on the iPad. Pretty cool to watch her experiment with the proof website: tap to enlarge, swipe, press the X to close, etc. Her: I want to see the photo with…

  8. Guys, GUYS! Just got a call from an Allstate recruiter regarding a “business opportunity in my area”… a BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY!!
