Possibly not exactly what you were looking for, but I just bought my first noise canceling headphones from Bose. I find that when I’m running around on conference calls, the noise canceling feature comes in very handy. http://www.amazon.co[...]8&psc=1
I just bought the QC20s as well after Stephen O’Grady’s recommendation. I haven’t made a phone call with them yet (I have trouble talking when I can’t hear myself), but the noise canceling is fantastic, and they have a small inline rechargeable battery.
Someone else just recommended the QC20i’s on a separate thread *very* strongly. However, after the third time I had a headphone wire shred (with the in-ear part still perfectly fine), I decided I’m never buying another set of headphones without replaceable wires. If money was no object, I’d be tempted to try the Shure SE535LTD ($550 retail) or the UE900s ($400 retail). I had a previous version of the Shure’s and loved them, and am currently using a previous version of the Ultimate Ears. There are people that swear by Etymotic, but no replaceable-cord models.
@alexkingorg I got a pair of these Panny’s as a spare. They’re fine.

@alexkingorg Oh, you said in-ear. I like the Apple in-ear, for $70.
@alexkingorg Nevermind. I’m confusing myself at this point. The Panny’s are cheap/fine, I prefer the Apples.
@alexkingorg I’ve had the Bose QuietComfort 20’s for a couple of weeks, love them so far: http://t.co/spF1nZcZNO
@alexkingorg Nikki uses the a-jays (one, I think) and she’s on the phone all damn day. She’s had nothing but good things to say.
I love love love my standard galaxy 5 headset. The plugs are soft silicon and super comfy and the Mic works great.

@alexkingorg I’ve heard really good things about these: http://t.co/WfcwjoRTk7
these are impressive … many great great features including a great audio sound. http://www.amazon.co[...]RJF877GCEPVW

the QC 20’s are absolutely insane. mic gets mixed reviews, however. at times it’s perfect, every so often someone complains it’s quiet.
Yeah, I just need something that won’t fall out of my ears for phone calls.
they definitely don’t fall out of my ears. and they have completely replaced my 15’s in a smaller, much more convenient package.
I have some noise-canceling AKG earbuds. I too love the smaller form factor for travel.
Go with free Samsung’s you won’t be disappointed. I’ll bring you some tomorrow via Joe.
Thanks Sondra!

Wirecutter choice for sub-$30 for the other approach: http://thewirecutter[...]es-under-30/
Once again, just a cheapie for making phone calls that don’t fall out of my ears. I have the fidelity end covered. 🙂
I tried a Jawbone Bluetooth dealie, but the mic quality was so and I had to keep removing it so the person I was talking to could understand me.
http://www.amazon.co[...]linkCode=as2 and monoprice has few good uns too, i keep losing mine so need to buy relatively cheap ones.
@alexkingorg I’m a fan of the etymotic hf3 – not cheap but great sound quality.
“Daddy, what’s a phone call?”
Watcha thinkAlex?
Sondra: I may have given you the wrong address. One of Alex’s neighbors might have a new set of headphones.
Lol! Alex better visit your neighbor.
Erp! No headphones arrived here (yet). 🙂
Email forthcoming to you guys. Thanks!
Sondra, the Samsung headphones are great – thank you!
