If you update to Thunderbird 1.5 beta 2, make sure you disable the inline spell checking extension as this functionality is now built-in. Otherwise Thunderbird will crash repeatedly, causing you to curse it repeatedly.

You’ll run into the same problem on the release version unless you disable the extension. Disabling an extension isn’t really hard – you just click the button. 🙂
Oh, I see. I misread this before. I don’t use an extension for that, so I’m safe.
Thanks so much for posting this – TB was crashing like crazy – I was almost desperate enough to go back to OE, that’s how bad it was!
