Google AdSense

Posted in: alexking.org

I’ve put Google AdSense banners on the site here - for now. I threw them on the bottom of the page, but might move them to the top at some point. The donations don’t come in very often so I thought I’d see if these things actually generated any revenue. Call it an experiment.

    Alex,
How much do you get for a click? I clicked each one once, just for the hell of it. You can pay me back later.

It looks like I’m getting 10-25 cents per clickthrough, on some days I’ve gotten a couple of bucks. I’m going to leave them on the bottom for another week or so and see how it goes.

I’ve had great success with adsense on http://www.spring.net for the first three days. And I set up a site to help others with advice on how to optimize their return on adsense at

    http://www.adsenses.com

Hope you find something helpful there to boost your revenues using adsense.

I’m stressing to all my community members to not just click on adsense links to help our revenue but to really drill in to the adsense sponsors sites and use their products and services. That’s the spirit that I’ve tried to maintain and that’s what will keep the program alive. I can see why google must be careful in which sites they choose. Not every site gets chosen so feel lucky that you got picked.
