Zooomr

Posted in: Photography, Technology

I keep seeing coverage of Zooomr so I decided to check it out. They’re giving away free “pro” accounts to bloggers – so I’m posting this to take advantage of that offer.

I like that they are using OpenID for their logins. If you’re a Flickr user, Zooomr will be pretty familiar feeling.

I signed up just to check it out but when compared to Flickr and Tabblo the interface is just horrid. Flickr and Tabblo are both trivial, almost a joy to use. Zooomr feels like it was put together by an ibm developer from the old days.

    Hey Alex,

Thanks, I have signed up for Zoomr, seems decent enough I think.

I have a question for you and perhaps I am having a dumb moment :) , but where do I get your trackback links?? Thanks!

98% of my comment spam was trackback spam, so after failing to slow them down with several techniques I turned them off.

I guess this applies to pingbacks too?

Nah, they’re enabled but I need to do some hacking to make them work because of my custom URL structure.
