Apple iPad, mobile device ruminations | Eric Chengs Journal – I’ve been through a similar journey as Eric. I’m not sure I agree with the idea of a 3rd device filling the gap between phone and laptop for the simple reason that I won’t be carrying a device that big with me most of the time (and the BlackBerry browser is unusably bad).
Reading – Johns Blog – “I can maintain a certain stillness and focus when Im using the Kindle that I havent been able to achieve when reading on the iPhone or laptop I find that on those 2 devices, Im a little fidgety, and my mind tends to wander towards all the other things I can do on them.”
Changes afoot – Congrats to Greg, looking forward to seeing what’s next.
The iPad’s Onscreen Typing Solution Isn’t a Solution At All [Apple] – “What about in landscape mode, sitting flat on the table? Well this is problematic too, as the iPad sort of wobbles. stevenf.com – I need to talk to you about computers. Ive been… – “How long will it take to complete this Old World to New World shift? My guess? The end is near when you can bootstrap a new iPad application on an iPad. When you can comfortably do that without pining for a traditional desktop, the days of Old World computing are officially numbered.”
