I’m getting better about supporting the web sites that I really appreciate. Baseball-Reference is such a fantastic resource, it was a pleasure to sponsor several players.

Alvin Davis was the lone bright spot for my Mariners for many years as I was growing up. I was happy he was available.

Andy Van Slyke caught my eye in the 1985 World Series. He made an incredible throw from deep right field late in one of the games – I was very impressed and sometimes that is all it takes when you’re a kid.

I also sponsored a couple of players in the name of some of my fellow-baseball-nut friends as Christmas gifts.
