The total purse for the WordPress 1.5 Theme Competition (blog) is up to a staggering ~$900 worth of cash and prizes.

With almost two weeks left in the competition, I’m already comfortable calling it a smashing success. There have been 38 themes posted plus 6 more that I’ve received in the last 24 hours that I will be processing and posting later tonight. For comparison, last year’s Style Competition generated 38 styles during the entire competition (though another 70+ have been added since).
