I called the local Apple Store here in Denver today, and they have a Quad in stock. They speculated that the delay on my order may be due to a shortage of wireless cards.

As my order isn’t even supposed to ship for another week and a half (assuming it doesn’t get delayed again), I’m considering trading the 15% discount I got by ordering through the Apple friends and family program for being able to actually get my hands on the stupid machine. Of course, if I was going to do this, I should have done it a few weeks ago… ugh.

I’ve got a pretty negative feeling about this whole experience at this point…
