Opening 8 months ahead of schedule, the West Rail Line is also on budget.
Now that’s not something you see everyday! I live west of downtown Denver and I’m excited to have a public transit option available to me soon.

Happy Friday!
I’ve been wanting to write about good vs. bad interviews for a while now. My recent interview for the WP Engine blog gives me a good positive example to point to – that probably puts this post in a better light than a frustrated rant would. 🙂 I’ve participated in written, remote (audio and video)…
3 yr old: That’s what I heard.
Me: Where did you hear that?

An interview with me about WordPress’s maturity is up on the WP Engine blog. It’s a bit of a long read (~4500 words), but Austin did a great job asking good questions and follow-ups. I quite enjoyed the discussion and I hope you’ll find it interesting.
This is brilliant! A great illustration of how hard feed parsing is.
I’ve just released an initial beta of Threads, a WordPress plugin I’ve been working on for about a year. The idea is simple: show posts that comprise a single overall story/topic in a timeline. Hi Everyone– Monday and Tuesday were rough days emotionally after learning (in broad strokes but not specifics) about the PET scan results, but the last two days have given us some better news. On Wednesday I got a call from a scheduler to set up the biopsy, and I talked to her about the two…
This looks awesome! I just learned about this because my mom ordered a set for my daughter’s 4th birthday. We need more women in engineering.

Hi Everyone– Last Wednesday I underwent a PET scan so that they could look for cancer that might have spread to other parts of my body. So far the results are inconclusive, but they’ve identified an area of my liver, areas in both lungs and an area in my pelvis that they want to biopsy…
All this cheap cloud storage is awesome for backups, but man does it take a long time to get it all there.
Public Service Announcement: Monday is a good day to pull those false positives out of your SPAM folder.
