Install RAM, Knock Wood

Posted in: Technology

I just installed my replacement RAM from OWC - the machine hasn’t blown up yet. :fingerscrossed:

No more disk swapping every 5 seconds - it’s so good.

This time they sent TechWorks RAM instead of a ‘generic’ brand that I had the last 3 times, so perhaps that bodes well. Even though the RAM I bought from them has been a real hassle, I have little ill-will towards OWC because they are so fast at responding and their cross-ship policy is great. I’ve been ordering from them for years now; their customer service has never failed and this is really the only product failure (albeit a painful one).

The 1GB RAM stick I got from them for my first gen 12″ PB has worked very well for a couple of years.
