In some encouraging news (for me at least), my site traffic has been steadily increasing. This is the first month I’ve been averaging over 4000 visits a day (3950 last month). I remember that shortly after I first launched the site, 1600 hits in one day seemed like an awful lot!
Anyways, I’d like to say thanks to all of you for stopping by and encouraging me in thie endeavor.
As I’ve done in the past, I’d like to ask you to leave a quick comment on this post so I can see who’s out there. I’d be interested to know how you initially found the site and/or why you come back. 🙂
Hello. I think I found you though a mention of Tasks on Rands in Repose. You had some interesting blog entires so I subscribed. I believe at the time I was deep into learning PHP as well and your development entires especially interested me.
Plus I use your resume template on my own site. I made a donation 😉
We use WordPress for the Awasu weblog and you’ve done some pretty amazing work in that area so I like to keep an eye on what’s happening here 🙂
Alex, I come back to see if my past comments on future additions to Tasks will hopefully be considered, even if it’s false hope. I also found a few invaluable software suggestions for Windows and Mac not long ago. Something like that almost deserves it’s own page. (tools that we geeks use every day, etc.)
I also purchased a Harmony remote for Dad for fathers day and one for me. I remember reading about these long ago. Thanks for your input.
Hi there, I actually googled you site – I was looking for stylings for wordpress and I found your style competition. Great! Then I learned about your software section (esp. TASK is a very nice piece), and I included you in my blogroll on http://www.schmierzettel.net. Keep up the good work!
Greetings from Germany,
Markus
Hi Brett, the must-have software list does have it’s own page here.
Hi Alex, it’s my first comment here, though I read your RSS feed daily 🙂
I reached your site for the first time when setting up my own blog and looking here and there for a polished WordPress style, then I finally got one here
Found you through WordPress forums originally when researching WordPress 6 months ago. I liked your writing style and software, so put you on my regular visit page. Wrote a review of Tasks 1.86 since I didn’t have the dough to donate.
I visit your fine site everyday, and reap from it your fine plugins for WordPress. Top stuff, sir.
I come for the links, the WordPress news and the occasional observation on something or other. I’ve been coming since April 1st 2003 to be specific.
I’m here for the baseball/wordpress blog. I enjoy it a bunch!
Alex, I believe I first found a link to this site from WordPress, as I previously developed hacks and mods for b2, but eventually switched. I’m also a friend of Geof’s, and he links quite a lot in your direction. 🙂
2 sites really, the other one is http://kastalia.free.fr . Since you want your visitors to leave a message, i’ll happily do so. i’m just beginning to learn css (and no, there’s none at all on my sites yet) and have come across WordPress today. i’m definitely going to try it to really get into blogging.
ah, the site doesn’t show up in the comments. photos at http://mapage.noos.fr/imageries/
I was on the WordPress site looking for some styles and followed a link here. Since then I began visiting regularly. I have learned some things from your implementation of WP on this site. The fact that you are a Mac user and a developer of WP was reassuring that the Safari browser would be represented in the evolution of WP. I appreciate your work.
Hey Alex,
I originally found your site because of Photos and your talk about supporting IPTC. I’ve been looking around for something which works the way I think it should and Photo’s was the closest thing I found.
I keep coming back because I like listening to you talk about Tasks and how you’re managing the business.
Adam.
I blame WP.
Soon, I will blame you for my crappy golf game.
Site Traffic, De-Lurking
When I first launched this web site, I spent quite a bit of time looking at my traffic stats and referer logs. I don’t do that very often anymore (the novelty has worn off a bit), but it’s nice when I do check to see that the number of daily vist…
