I’m using my old 17″ PowerBook G4 while my MacBook is in the shop, and I must say I’m enjoying it. The screen is obviously much bigger, but the pixels are larger as well (less dense) which makes things larger on the screen and easier to read, etc.1
I find myself less slumped/hunched over peering in at the screen than I do with the smaller MacBook screen/pixels.
I wonder if using a current 15″ or 17″ MacBook Pro (since they have the smaller pixels) would be more similar to my MacBook experience or my PowerBook experience.
- I do like having the illuminated keyboard again as well. [back]
To me, the smaller pixelsize is more than made up for with the larger screen-estate. I love to have lots of tools up on the screen at once – especially, it is good when you are using Logic with quite a few plugin-synts…
There is a strange thing with your comment-form, btw. I had read a comment in the post below this one, and when I used TAB in order to go to the next field when entering this one, it jumped to the form in the next post.
