Site-specific text zoom [dive into mark] – this might make it into my very exclusive “installed plugins” list. I heard that this feature was/is considered for a future Firefox core inclusion too.
Another reason the nosquint is so great, is with bitstream fonts on linux (i refuse to use ms core fonts) the metrics are slightly off versus arial, helvetica, lucida grande, verdana, trebuchet and all the other fonts people pollute their css with. Occasionally some badly written css (using fixed pixel widths) will screw up the layout quite a bit when using vera/bitstream fonts. manhandling the fontsize and notching it down to 90% often fixes the layout problems and is still quite readable.
Thanks for the props, Alex!! I appreciate it!! 🙂
Thanks for the list Alex. I like “the Site-specific text zoom [dive into mark]” = i use it and it’s really cool. Greetings from Poland
