A few months back I changed the label of the ad section of my sidebar from “Ads” to “Make Me Money”.
Apparently Google didn’t think my pithy little section title was very funny.
Fair enough, I’ve kicked it back to the “boring” setting. And shed a small tear.
Too bad, I thought it was hilarious… 🙂

What is with Google these days? They are taking an iron fist to people for the dumbest things. One mistake and you can get adsense accounts closed for life, websites banned… It is crazy.
I like creative titles 🙂 It’s too bad the policies are so strict. Oh well, I guess it’s a good thing they warn people instead of banning them immediately.
Well, at least they sent you an email instead of just closing your account 🙂
Ah man how scary. What if you were out of town…you only get 3 days?
I am always scared my account will get suspended. You always hear horror stories!
At least you got a warning. In 2004, Google kicked me out of Adsense, claiming “click fraud”. I still have no idea what they were talking about, and didn’t see any unusual activity in my logs at the time. I asked for more details, offered to send them server logs, etc. Repeated queries and requests for reinstatement were completely ignored.
And yet, they still send me email ads asking me to sign up to be an *advertiser* through AdWords. Um, no.
I removed what they asked me to (within 24 hours), but my account was still suspended. I’ve asked for an additional review, but I’m not really optimistic.
