1. WordPress 3.5 Pushed to Monday →

    This is a smart decision. We have WordPress 3.5 compatibility updates for RAMP, Carrington Build, FaveBusiness and FavePersonal prepped and ready to release. I’m very glad we’ll be releasing them on Monday instead of late on a Friday. It’s also heartening to see such a measured response in the comments.

  3. Running WordPress 3.5

    I’ve upgraded this site to WordPress 3.5 (rc4) to help test the media compatibility changes we’ve got in place for an upcoming release of our FavePersonal theme. Please let me know if anything looks out of whack.

    I recently set up a self-signed cert for my own use but I’m not ready to convert this site to SSL for everyone. That said, if you run a website this is definitely something you want to make an educated decision about.

    Coding in the real world is about tradeoffs; we have to do the best thing we can with the time, resources, and tools at our disposal. These tradeoffs may not result in an According-to-Hoyle OO (or functional) design, but we’re not writing code to provide examples of programming paradigms or design patterns; we’re writing it to accomplish something and provide value.
