Does anyone know of an iCalendar plugin for Outlook? My searches haven’t turned up anything. UPDATE: ‘Subscribing to an iCalendar’ means: you enter the URL of the iCalendar into your calendaring software and specify a refresh schedule. Then your calendaring software goes and looks for new data to update the iCalendar on that schedule. It’s…

While at Lowes, I happened across this clock – close enough. 🙂 It seems to work well so far. Maybe not as nice looking as this one, but it works. I picked up one of these too on a whim. I was pleased to find that it can share the same outside sensor.

My first participation in a meme , blame Scott. Go to bloglines (don’t think you need to have an account). Find your own blog on bloglines (if it’s not there you can sign up and add it I guess, if you don’t have a blog this one’s not for you). Click related feeds (each time…

I’ve got a 2G 20GB iPod and the battery isn’t holding a charge very well anymore. I’d love to buy a new iPod, but I don’t see a really compelling reason to upgrade. I still have plenty of room and I don’t particularly need the ability to create a playlist on the iPod. Perhaps replacing…

Adam has redesigned his site and is now running on WordPress. I plan to do the same for alexking.org once I get all the kinks out on my new kingdesign.net site. Great job Adam, hope you find a way to script the conversion of those old entries. 🙂

UPDATE 2006-12-18 – UltraExplorer has been officially released. Go check it out, finally a Windows Explorer replacement worth using. I’ve been looking for a decent Windows Explorer replacement and so far have been sorely disappointed. All I want is a quick-access favorites panel (not in a menu) and a drop stack – and something that…

I had a chance to buy lunch today for a fellow who has been beta testing the pre-releases of Tasks (and sending in some great bug reports). It’s always nice to be able to say “thank you”. I stopped at Starbucks after to try the Chantico. The Bluetooth modem/Dell 700m combo is very nice for…

This past weekend I only did about 4-6 hours of work – I can’t remember the last time I took that much time off. On Saturday (after working a few hours in the morning) I went golfing then out to dinner with friends. On Sunday (again after working a few hours in the morning) I…

Eric was kind enough to send me a Belkin Bluetooth adapter (first one, w/ flag antenna) that he was no longer using, and I managed to get it working with the Dell 700m. While installing the drivers, I had to click ‘Continue Installation’ 20 times against the advice of the Windows prompts that kept warning…

Release candidate 4 of Tasks Pro™ 1.5 and Tasks 2.5 are now available. These releases contain a larger change than I generally like to make this late in the game, but it seemed like it was important change to make. Also of note, this release is available as a .zip archive as well as a…
