Eric has just launched the redesign of his web site. It looks very slick. I like the way the the new site is set up. You go in and explore the site rather than just clicking through the navigation menu. Only downside is that it is no longer readily apparent that the site has been…

After looking at this and doing quite a bit of reading, I decided to get the Epson 960 printer as a stopgap until I upgrade my camera to a Canon D-90 (or whatever is 6+ megapixels with a full-size sensor) in a year or three. At that time, I am sure there will be something…

I’ve implemented a load-on-demand system for tasks (when expanding the task tree, it gets the sub-tasks for a task when you ask for them) instead of having to load the entire tree at once. This gives us several benefits: it makes pages load faster and allows us to have a tree view on the home…

I think Charles Barkley is a pretty smart fellow, but I don’t think he’s thought this all the way through. As Michael Jordan comments at the end of the article, what is Vince Carter supposed to do? The fans voted him in, obviously they want to see him play, the game is for the fans.…

This weekend in Sonoma I had quite a burger: Bacon (crisp) and brie cheese with lettuce on garlic bread. Highly recommended. Henceforth to be known as the "Sonoma Special". Also learned that the word "copestetic" is really "copesetic" (or "copacetic" or "copasetic" or "copesettic" ). Guess it is a good thing I never used that…

For your reading pleasure, a collection of links I’ve been gathering all week: Here is a good article on regular expression for those who might want to know more about it. I’m using it to validate the structure e-mail addresses. My site isn’t up here yet, but I had fun browsing through a number of…
